Big Thanks to everybody!
Last night was the "opening night" for the weekly open blues jam at Gonzo's Tap & Grille in Bolingbrook.
I'm very happy to say that the night was truly living up to the slogan "Tuesday is Bluesday"!
After opening the night with my band by throwing some classic Soul'n Blues tunes by Tyrone Davis, Johnny Taylor, ZZ Hill and other greats at the crowd, the numerous musicians were given the chance to take the stage to enrich the evening for what it was; a great jam!
I'd like to thank my band - Joe Maas / Jay Johnson / Brother John / Rocky Penn - for the wonderful job they did and I'm looking forward to keep on kicking it with yall.
The next thanks goes out to all the wonderful musicians who honored us with their visit and the showcasing of their talent.
There were Al Hurricane Spears, Big Dog Mercer, Wildcard Johnny (Chinaman), Jeff " Muffin Man" Ruffin, Doug " Rifleman" Horan and many others. (...more names follow very soon...).
Last but certainly not least, I also wonna send out my thanks to the many blues lovers who come out to listen to our music.
Thanks so much to everybody who came out to support us and therefore was also showing the support of local musicians and their contribution to the musical and cultural enrichment of the suburbs.
Bluesly Yours,
Vivian Vance Kelly
